'Growing' the Future...
With a love for future tech, I enjoy following new companies with business concepts that could very well change our way of life in the near future. There are currently two companies that I enjoy following and have high hope for them in the near future.

The first is n.thing (http://www.nthing.net) and its product Planty. Their business is based out of Seoul, Korea and started up early this year. With the belief that everyone can be a farmer, their first product Planty is a unique electronic pot that enables you to connect with whatever you want to grow in it; like having a pet plant. Simple but fun. Understandably there are other startups with similar product, but n.thing has created a very simple and elegant design. Currently they have a KickStarter campaign going on, and I must say that with my passion for growing things, I got right on that bandwagon.

The second business is GroveLabs (https://grovelabs.io/) based out of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Now this is a business I really have an interest in. With their in home ecosystems, they are truly onto something, by developing a way that we can grow our own fruits and vegetables at home all year round. Currently in their beta stage, they are actively partnering themselves with individuals and business to start bringing their grow systems into homes and places of work. Looking to the future, I see a strong pull for this system and can see all of us in the future with our own grow stations, full of wonderful plants.
With a similar goal of growing plants in home with a system that connects you to them, I believe that these two startups complement each other. One for your around the house/office plants and the other for your daily consumption. I look forward to a time where we become more connected with the planet and cohabitate with plants in-home.
